What exactly is house sitting?

For a start, its fun! It saves the house sitter money, (maybe enough for a deposit on your own home) and keeps the home owners' property secure and pets cared for when they are away.                                                                                                            

House sitting is when one person (the sitter) lives in another persons house (the homeowner) RENT FREE whilst the home owner is away. In return for living rent free the house sitter will keep the home owner's house tidy and secure and love  and cherish the home owner's pets. 

The house sitter gets to live RENT FREE and the home owner gets to enjoy their holiday knowing their pets are loved and their house has not been broken in to.
