I have been an owner of dogs for 20 years. I am pet friendly, responsible and reliable. I am of good character and trustworthy both with your home and your pets - something that is very important to me, and I empathise with the decision to have someone in your home taking care of your precious pets. When I go away I have pet sitters come to my home so my dogs are in a safe familiar environment in my absence. I am fit and healthy (non smoker) and am able to walk dogs and maintain a clean house. I am now very confident with cats as my new best friend is Minnie (my girlfriend’s cat), who I often look after while Annie is galavanting around the world. I will respect your home and your privacy. My partner is a stock agent. He is very capable with all requisites re the land and animals. He has cats and aviaries and Ollie the cockatoo. He is a real farm gem. He also works as a gardener on a property in the Western District. He is very capable and versatile and can and will turn his hand to anything. I am interested in house sits by myself, or with Wes, depending on your requirements. I do have references on this site, from previous happy pet owners. Hope we can assist each other …..

Loretta and Wes were the most wonderful cat sitters. Communication leading up to the time was excellent, and we returned home to a very clean house with 2 very happy cats. I highly recommend you choose them for your next house sit, and I look forward to having them come stay at our house again in the future.

Loretta and Wes have house sat for us twice. Once in Hobart and the second time in Somerset Tasmania. Couldn't ask for better house sitters. Our house was also clean and tidy when we got home and more importantly our dog were so well look after. Both Loretta and Wes are very friendly down to earth people. Would not hesitate to use and or recommend Loretta to anyone looking for a great house sitter.

To all those out there seeking assurance regarding having a HOUSE/PET SITTER for the first time I hope this helps...for I was one until recently. I have a well loved Golden Retriever of senior status that was my main concern as I had to travel interstate for 2 weeks. This is not a long absence and I was apprehensive that it was may not attract much interest especially as I stipulated certain preferences, but with the help of HAPPY HOUSESITTERS I found someone...This someone was LORETTA BOURKE and she is a real gem. A happy easy going, pet lover with buckets of caring and inner desire to be the bestest house/pet sitter anyone could possible want. For me,a first timer Loretta radiated confidence and a thorough understanding of what it means to have a stranger in another persons home and be left with the responsibility of caring for another persons much loved pet. If you have a list of boxes to tick when seeking help of this nature for whatever reason Loretta ticks them all. I have no hesitation in expressing my appreciation and thanks for all she conveyed and did whilst with my mate Benson over the 2 weeks and will recommend Loretta to anyone seeking to be able to leave their pet with peace of mind and with total confidence that all will be well on return. Loretta was a fantastic housesitter who looked after our family dog and our house in June 2014. All of our communication with Loretta was clear and friendly and she even visited prior to the sit to meet our family and the dog and get familiar with the house. At no time did we question Loretta's commitment to the housesit or the level of responsibility we were passing to her and she did not disappoint! The house was neat and tidy, our dog was so well cared for and we got regular updates on how things were going.
