About

We are a 32 and 36 year old non-smoking clean couple who love animals, particularly cats and dogs, and will look after your home and pets as if it were our own. We are caring, reliable, trustworthy, experienced and friendly. We both work from home full time so we are the ideal couple for pets that are used to company during the day.

Who we are:

Hi I’m Isabelle and I have lived in Melbourne my whole life. Kjol is my partner and he is from Anchorage, Alaska. We would love to look after your home!
Kjol and I met 8 years ago when my friend and I were doing a road trip around the US. We now live in Melbourne permanently. Kjol works full time from home in IT and I work from home three days a week. This is particular great for those pets that need extra company throughout the day. We are both reliable, responsible, friendly and love animals.

Experience:

We have been house sitting full time for almost 6 years and love it! We have house sat for over a dozen different families, both long term and short term house sits. Many of these have been return house sits. We both grew up with a variety of pets, I have had dogs, chickens and rabbits, and Kjol has grown up with dogs, cats, and lizards. We've both had small and large dogs and I have grown up with one dog that had anxiety so understand these particular needs. We've also had adopted dogs from the shelter so understand dogs with various needs.
We both love the outdoors particularly going for walks on the beach or in parks. We can also be home bodies and love watching shows together, reading and Kjol is a great artist so loves drawing.
Having grown up with a big backyard and a very enthusiastic gardener for a mum, her green thumb has definitely rubbed off on me and I love looking after gardens.

Why we house sit:

We have been house sitting for almost 6 years and absolutely love it! One of the main reasons we want to house sit is our love of animals and the importance of a good house sitter to look after our loved ones! We have had a personal experience with this and the importance of a caring house sitter to look after our pets and their health. When Kjol’s family was going to Costa Rica for a semester their house sitter fell through. Their new one was allergic to cats and didn’t tell the family and instead locked the kitten in a room for most of the time. Poor Kaos has never been the same again! We treat all animals as if they were our and this comes from our love of animals. We love cuddles particularly when they are up for it or just enjoy their company.

Isabelle, house sat and looked after our two dogs for 10 days. She was an excellent house sitter and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to any future people looking for a house/pet sitter. Isabelle left the house clean and tidy and I couldn't fault the care she has taken of our pets. She managed the dogs heart medication and they were very happy and healthy when we got home. Isabelle walked our dogs and kept their routine. Isabelle gave us text updates and photos of 2 very relaxed dogs.

I cannot more highly praise Isabelle and Kjol for their AMAZING help with looking after my special needs (deaf) puppy while I was interstate for an extended period of time for surgery in 2020. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. I had read their previous reviews and even though I had lots of enquiries from other potential sitters, I sensed even before I met them that Isabelle and Kjol would be the best. And I wasn't wrong. They were so considerate, so thorough, so thoughtful and so helpful. They really went above and beyond in looking after my home and my dog. In fact, they have become good friends since their house-sit and now they regularly come and walk my dog with me - which is just wonderful as he loves them to bits now and misses them if he doesn't see them! Isabelle and Kjol were just fantastic, they were the perfect house sitters for us! We received photo updates each day of our precious kitties, it was wonderful seeing them in such caring arms. I would recommend Isabelle and Kjol to anyone, they were clean and tidy, punctual and great communicators. We will certainly have them back......just brilliant!

Isabelle & Kjol did a house sit for me late January for a couple of days, for my two furry "children", as soon as I met Isabelle and Kjol, knew they would be perfect fit. One of my pets "Chloe" is very wary when it comes to strangers, and to my surprise, Chloe went straight to them and allow them to pay her! This really surprised me. While I was away, Isabelle sent me updates along with photos of both babies (Sheba & Chloe), looking very relaxed and content. They left the flat very clean and tidy, as if they'd not been there! Isabelle house sat for us for 2 weeks in September while we were in Vietnam. This was our first experience using a service such as HHH and we could not have been happier to find Isabelle and Kjol. They were extremely responsive and professional from first contact and were excellent in keeping us up to date in the lead up to and during their stay at our place. We particularly appreciated the updates and photos of our fur and feather crew while we were away – while we were missing them desperately, they seemed to be having a ball with their new roomies ??. While the animals were our main priority, I should also note that the house was kept immaculate. I can’t recommend Isabelle and Kjol highly enough. Thank you, Isabelle, and Kjol – we are looking forward to having you back in the new year!

Isabelle and Kjol recently looked after our two beloved whippets while we were overseas for a month. I typically always find it very stressful leaving them in the care of others but Isabelle and Kjol respected our particular requests in regards to the dogs’ routine and kept us up to date with regular photos. Our pooches are quite pampered (!) and can be a little needy but our minds were at ease knowing Kjol was able to spend most of his time with them during the day, while Isabelle was at work. We came home to a nice, clean home and whilst our dogs were over the moon to see us, they were a little mopey over the next few days, already missing Isabelle and Kjol, I suspect ; ) I’d absolutely re-book them for future sits and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them!

Isabelle looked after my house and cat, Maude, for a week while I was away. I have nothing bad to say at all, I came back to a lovely clean house and very happy cat! Isabelle was easy to communicate with and she sent me updates while I was away so I could see Maude's antics. I could tell that she genuinely enjoyed her stay at my place and Maude's company so I knew that Maude was getting plenty of care and affection. I would definitely have Isabelle back!
