Hello everyone!

We are Maria(24) and David(24), a couple from Spain that just arrived to the Gold Coast to learn english (Maria) and to work from home as a web developer (David).

We are interested in house sitting to have a place to stay and to be able to fill the void of not having our beloved dogs with us while we stay in Australia.

It was a very difficult decission to leave home for a year since we have many friends, family and our 2 babies: Coco, a 8-year old mix breed chihuahua and ratter dog and Chuche, a 9-year old mix breed schnauzer and yorkshire dog.
We love playing with them and having long walks twice a day. On the weekends we go on tours and walks over to more natural places like rivers, lakes, mountains or whatever suits the weather.

We also have a turtle named Pepona who loves wandering all around the house and have long naps in the sun at our terrace. In the past we also had Pocholo, a cat that died at the incredible age of 19. Maria has also experience with horses in the past since she has been riding and taking care of a horse named Esbelta for more than 5 years.

We know how difficult it is the decision of leaving your pets with strangers, it is also difficult for us to just leave without them and so we understand how much love they have to recieve and how much care we have to put on them.

We are a very clean, quiet, sporty and nature lover couple who loves to spend time in the nature visiting mountains, rivers, surfing and enjoying some quality time with puppies.

Maria and David took very good care of our three birds and our apartment. They were very clean and organised and left the unit in excellent condition. Updates on pets were received through out their stay.

David and Maria were the perfect house sitters. They cared for and loved our dogs as if they were their own. One of our dogs cut his eye while we were away ( he insisted on sticking his head in bushes). David and Maria took time away from work and study to take Teddy to the Vet. They then treated Teddy’s eye until we returned. We have already asked David and Maria to sit for us again.

Maria and David were perfect house sitters and looked after our cat and home so well whilst we were away. They are a lovely couple and very responsible. Our home was left immaculate when they left and even baked us a cake for the day we returned. I would highly recommend them!

David & Maria took care of our house and pets over the last month and we were extremely happy with them. They were very easy to communicate from the first moment they first applied to sit our house. When we returned from our trip, our house was perfectly clean, bed stripped and backyard clean of any dog droppings, it was a great way to come home. Throughout our time away they kept in touch and as issues arose, we were easily able to help them work it out. They sent regular pics of our pets, who all looked to be happy and well cared for, this I really liked. I would highly recommend David & Maria to anyone, they were great house sitters.
