G'day there,

My name is Rebecca (often called Bee), and I work remotely for The Smith Family. My partner, Rick, works in the renewable energy sector. I’m a qualified teacher with a Master’s in International Development, and Rick is a qualified electrician by trade. We are mature, friendly, reliable, and genuinely enthusiastic about animals and taking care of the land. We both work from home full-time, which allows us to provide a consistent presence and care for your home. I’ve been privileged to care for many homes and animals over the last 10 years, primarily through Trusted Housesitters and Aussie Housesitters, where I have nothing but five-star reviews. I grew up in rural northwest NSW with every animal you can imagine (including rescue kangaroos) but have spent the past decade living and working between Sydney and the South Coast. I have extensive experience caring for dogs, chooks, horses, goats, stock animals, and a wide variety of homes. We pride ourselves on taking excellent care of people’s homes, gardens, and, of course, their animals. I genuinely delight in cleaning and relish leaving spaces fresh and uncluttered. Rick fixes anything and everything, is house proud, and will often complete jobs with no expectation. He has experience with light machinery and home and property maintenance etc.
We aim to live sustainably and leave minimal impact wherever we go, treating everything and everyone with respect and kindness. We also prefer fragrance-free living (due to medical reactivity), so I use natural cleaning products and prefer the same for homes and animals. We love staying in places long enough to get a feel for life there, connecting with the land and community.
