Our home is on 8 acres in the beautiful Veteran, a 10 min drive from Gympie. PET CARE: We require care for our 2 year old Kelpie dog, a cat, goldfish, and chickens. Our dog lives outside and sleeps in a pen of a night. You will be required to let her out each morning, feed her morning and night, and put her back in her pen each night. There is no need to walk her. She is quite happy to run around the property and swim in the dam. She also loves cuddles and attention. The cat lives inside and outside and does her own thing. You will be required to feed her morning and night and let her in of a morning and night. We have 3 goldfish that need fed twice a day. We have 10+ chickens. You will be required to feed them a laying mash in the morning, let them out in the afternoon for a free roam and green peck, collect the eggs (for your personal use), and then close them back in their coop of an evening. We also have about 10 sheep and 6 cows. You do not need to feed them or do anything with them other than check that they have water and occasionally count that all are still there. GARDEN CARE: There is a vegetable garden to water every day / every 2nd day. THE HOUSE: The house is double story. You must be ok with stairs. You must also be able to walk up and down a slight 200m hill to get to the chickens. Your bedroom is the guest room downstairs with a queen bed and ensuite and ceiling fan (the room stays quite cool). Upstairs is the living area and kitchen which has air-conditioning. There are multiple outdoor seating areas. There is a pool for your use. There is off street, undercover parking. THINGS TO DO: In Gympie - Victory Heights walking tracks and mountain bike tracks, Mary Valley Rattler, Mothar Mountain Rockpools, Mary River/The Sands walking track, there is an Aquatic Centre, Cinemas, many cafes and pubs. We are also only 30 mins from Tin Can Bay, 45 mins from Rainbow Beach and Noosa, and 1 hour from the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We do not mind if you wish to bring your own dog, however, we ask that your dog remains outside and your dog must meet our dog first to make sure that they get along.We also ask for non-smokers please. We do not wish for any smoking on the property. We leave on Sunday 06/04/25 and return on Saturday 26th April. I know you'll love our place and our animals and enjoy your stay here. Thankyou.
