My husband and I are going on a 4 week holiday to the US. Our house is located in leafy Ferny Creek in the Dandenong Ranges, 5 minutes from Upper Ferntree Gully station and shops and walking distance to the 1000 steps trail. The house/pet sit is available for 4 weeks in May/June. We have a lovely tudor bluestone house, but only downstairs needs to be accessed, so less to look after! There is very easy vehicle access with off street parking and level ground around the house. Beautiful flower-beds, ferns, lawns and slate patios surround the house. Together with a multitude of walks from the doorstep, (including 'the 1000 steps'),this could be your perfect Winter break. Although it is a large house, we would only require half of it to be looked after. You would have a double bedroom and a full bathroom for your use, as well as a newly renovated spacious kitchen \ living area, laundry and den. Internet access is available and there is recently upgraded ducted heating. A vegie patch, with winter crops, will be ripe for the picking and your use. We own a robust male Pug puppy who will be nearly 12 months old at the dates mentioned. He loves a walk and company and to sit on your lap while watching TV at night. Other than that, he requires minimal care. He sleeps in the kitchen, and is toilet trained if you stick to his routine. There maybe a 2 year old schnauzer dog, belonging to our son, but that is not yet certain. If so, they are very used to each other's company. Main tasks would include enjoying, daily walking and caring for our pug, normal indoor maintenance, collecting the mail and bins and possibly vegetable garden upkeep if required.
