This housesit would be suitable for a retired couple/single, or a person who works from home. We are needing house sitters/sitter who are active and dog lovers to care for our two loved kelpies, Milly and Molly (3 ½ years old), and our four desexed male goats (Darcy, Alfie, Jimmy and Rocky). Milly and Molly require two walks a day (1/2-hour each morning and afternoon) plus a game with their beloved tennis balls. Our dogs are outdoor and indoor dogs who join us in the evening to sit with us on the lounge to watch TV and then sleep in the laundry. Our dogs are crate trained so can be housed in their crate for up to 4 and half hours if you need to go shopping, local sightseeing etc. Our goats require feeding once a day but apart from that they pretty much amuse themselves. We have a small comfortable country cottage (2 beds, study, bathroom, kitchen, lounge, laundry, verandah on 3 sides) on 3.6 acres in a beautiful valley in the lower Hunter. There is also a separate cabin available for use during handover either end of the housesit. We have tank water, septic system, and hybrid solar power with battery, all linked to the grid. We also have a push button start generator to power the house if all else fails. We have a woodfire for heating the loungeroom (wood supplied) plus air conditioner. Our location is near the historic villages of Laguna and Wollombi. It is only 50 minutes to the Hunter Valley vineyards and Cessnock and the Central Coast shopping centres. Basic grocery items and fruit and vegetables are available 20 minutes away at either Laguna (lower Hunter) and Kulnura (Central Coast).
