About us: We are looking for a non-smoker who is responsible and considerate to look after our beloved pets and our abode. We are a family of three going to USA to help parents while mother is going through treatment. About your stay: Welcome to a smaller house (that we are renovating but still well-kept) situated in nice neighbourhood. No stairs inside. The driveway is on an incline with no stairs (yet) leading to the front door. The back yard has two levels; stairs to lower level but nothing down there to maintain (we might request father-in-law to go around an mow one time), the top level has patio furniture. Private. We have two adorable pets: A female budgie and a Cavoodle — he takes after the King Charles Cavalier side, so there will be a hair ball rolling across the floor at times. Our pets are used to us being home for the majority of the time. The dog can go on outings on the lead. More home attributes: • Comfortable 3bd, 2ba, plus office (though one of the bedrooms may be inaccessible) • 10 mins from beach, shopping malls, cinemas, gyms, parks, walks, bowls, golf, tram/train, and Surfers Paradise by car • 2 mins from grocery, fuel, coffee, restaurants by car • 5 min walk to bus route • 72km from Brisbane • 23km from Tweed Heads (northern NSW) • Different types of gyms close by • Easy access to the M1 • Easy street parking • No indoor plants to maintain • Chromecast • Dishwasher • Ample backyard and back patio with furniture • Bikes and some beach items available Requirements: • pets are used to us being home but can be left home for half a day • dog: walks, cuddles, play, food & water, maybe a bath • bird: food, water, maybe bath water, maybe Lilly Pilly clippings from our yard, maintain cage 1x/wk (extremely easy system in place). • collect mail • keeping house secure • if ambitious, a mow or two of the lawn but not required Courtesies: • Closet space • Drawer space • Pantry space • Refrigerator space • Freezer space Issues: • At this point, no certainty for a vehicle, may change • no microwave (will look at possible solutions if it’s a must)

Pets & farm animals

We have two adorable pets: A female budgie (our girl) and a Cavoodle (our boy) — he takes after the King Charles Cavalier side, so not completely shed-free. Our pets are used to us being home for the majority of the time. Our boy: besides walks, cuddles, play, food & water; maybe a bath. Feel free to take him on an outing. Our girl: food, water, maybe bath water, maybe Lilly Pilly clippings from our yard, maintain cage 1x/wk (extremely easy system in place). If you're used to looking after flight birds then we can discuss a few extra options to give her some exercise.

House Tasks

Maybe a bit of watering areas of the yard if not having any rain; collecting mail; keeping the house secure; and preventing any very unlikely issues that come up from getting worse (contacting us in order to sort out). If ambitious, a mow or two of the lawn, but not required.
