Our California Bungalow house in Invermay, Tasmania is north facing on a big block. Invermay is just across the river from the centre of Launceston. The North Esk River, Heritage Forest Park and the free city bus are all within walking distance. We have two rough collies (Lassie dogs), Cienna and Minnie. Minnie is Cienna's daughter. Minnie is 5 years old. Cienna is 8 years old. We also have a tropical freshwater fish tank. We will be away from 27 June until 21 July. Our house is comfortable and insulated but not renovated yet. There is also a renovated self-contained guest suite, where we have insulated and clad the outside of the existing sheds so it still shows the old timber inside. It is fully heated with a day bed, bedroom, living space with kitchenette and wheelchair accessible bathroom. You can stay in either, or both.

Pets & farm animals

Cienna and Minnie have done basic obedience, and are friendly to people and other dogs. They need to be walked every day but are otherwise are not that active. They have puzzle games you can fill with treats if they get bored. They are fed once a day and occasionally brushed. There is a robot vacuum cleaner to pick up the fur in the house. We will clean the fish tank before we go so all you will need to do is feed them every day and relax watching them swim.

House Tasks

The house has an old working garden with fruit trees. In winter there won't be much to do. We are not fussed how much gardening you do, but we do love our pets so we want them to be well cared for. They are all pretty easy going so it shouldn't be too much trouble.
