I'm travelling for work and to visit family this winter, so I'm looking for someone to take care of my kitty and flat. I live in a spacious and bright one-bedroom flat in Richmond. The flat is towards the back of a friendly and safe condo complex. I'm on the ground floor and have a small private courtyard. I live on a quiet street but within walking distance of the liveliness of Bridge Road (cafes, pubs, exercise studios, etc.). The back of the complex faces a lovely green passage that leads to the Yarra Trail. I am down the street from trams that take you to the CBD and between the Burnley and Hawthorn train stations. The main reason I need a flat sitter is to take care of my cat, Mr. Libertine, who would otherwise be very lonely. Mr. Libertine loves to cuddle and play. He is about 5 years old and has a lot of energy. Mr. Libertine is in good health right now, but he has one bad kidney, so he is on a special diet. He is not on any medication but I do add a few drops of kidney supplement to his food. I would like to find someone who has some experience with cats and would be able to recognize any signs that he wasn't feeling well and needed medical attention (e.g., change in appetite, excessive thirst, lethargy, etc.). I don't expect him to become ill, since he has been fine on my other long trips and in good health since he was diagnosed. You can expect him to be shy for the first several days or week, but after that he will be your buddy. I'm happy to provide additional photos and answer any questions.
