We are looking for a single person or couple to look after our property and animals on an ongoing basis as we are frequent travellers. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right person/couple. We are offering a luxury house with a pool, gorgeous tropical gardens, veggie patch, fruit trees, and tennis court. The house is on a large acreage with ocean and lighthouse views, only 10 minutes out of Byron Bay. What we ask in exchange is the very best care for our animals, and we do require someone with experience with horses. We have one cat (strictly indoor), fish that require a water change every 1-2 weeks, 6 free ranging chickens, 2 horses, a calf, and some house plants. The horses need feeding once a day. One of the horses is 20 years old and very cruisy. The other is a mare, a little spicy, and requires an experienced handler. They are not to be ridden but we would be grateful for regular care, such as cleaning out of hooves, rugging in cold weather, etc. There are also cattle on the property managed externally, however, we do have a calf who needs feeding once a day with a bottle. Her name is Cinnamon and she will come to the top of the paddock when called at feeding time (she prefers females). We have an abundance of wildlife here. They are all respected and part of our daily lives and not to be harmed. This incudes frogs, lizards, birds, possums, insects (including spiders) and the occasional snake (usually pythons or green tree snakes). So if love animals, big and small, and enjoy a quiet existence in luxury surrounds we would love to hear from you. We ask that there are strictly no visitors as this is our private home.

1 cat (indoors only) Fish (water change required) 6 very friendly laying hens (free ranging with automatic open/close doors) 2 horses (one needs experienced horse person) 1 calf (needs bottle feeding once a day in the late afternoon)

House Tasks

Water house plants and veggie garden. Collect eggs and make sure coop is clean. Feed will need to be topped up and water changed daily.
