Looking for a reliable and trustworthy house sitter to stay in our beautiful house for 3 1/2 weeks in June/July as we are away on a family holiday. We live on 5 acres looking over a large dam, in a stunning bushy location about 5km outside of Woodend in the Macedon Ranges - about 50 mins North West of Melbourne. Lots to see and do in the area, or just soak up the natural environment and the peace and quiet. Woodend is located around 600m above sea level, and so it is 'slightly cooler' than Melbourne and can be quite cold at this time of year, but a lovely environment and our house has central ducted heating and also a wood fire which is warm and cosy !. Our house is modern and well equipped and has 4 bedrooms and a study, as we have three teenage / young adult daughters. The main reason we are looking for a house sitter is to take care of our 10 year old Cairn Terrier, Maggie. Our dog is very social, friendly and exuberant - we have an outdoor area fenced off and a dog door allowing her to easily get inside and out whilst restricted to the laundry when we are away from the house and she sleeps in the laundry overnight. Being quite active, she does appreciate a good walk regularly. Whilst Maggie can cope with a night on her own, we do need a sitter who will be at the house on a daily basis across the period. Please contact us ASAP if interested - we have had house sitters on >10 occasions, so are are well setup for house sitting and it has always been a great experience. This is a lovely spot to spend some time and we look forward to sharing our house with you.
